Original Item: We have found a few Mk I oil cans dated from WW1. This is the first oil can issued with the Vickers Medium Machine Gun. The can is constructed of plated steel with a brass screw cap. Ours are the early version with a brush attached to the cap. The capacity is 0.5 pint. The official name is CAN, OIL, MG, MK I, and it was introduced in February of 1915. These are all marked T.E.BLADON&SON LTD followed by the date.
