Original Item: Only One Available. This is a standard British Light Dragoon .65" Bore flintlock pistol circa 1800-1820.

Bears Crown over G.R. on the lock center and TOWER across lock tail. Overall length 15.5” with a 9.25” barrel, the trigger guard bears the engraving:

7 Q.O.

This represents the 7th Queen's Own Light Dragoon Guards.

This regiment saw service at the Battle of Waterloo under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Sir Edward Kerrison KCB serving in the 5th Brigade led by Major General Sir Collquhoun Grant KCB which in turn was part of the Cavalry Corp with Lieutenant General the Earl of Uxbridge GCB in command. The Earl of Uxbridge was The Duke of Wellington's second in command of all the allied armies facing Napoleon on that June day in 1815.

Pistol shows minor old worm damage to the rear stock and features all brass mounts with a steel ram rod. Offered in very presentable functional condition.
