Original Item: Only One Available. Now THESE are EXTREMELY rare! This is a very nice leather flap holster for the Colt Model 1905 Marine Corps .38cal revolver. This was a variation of the Colt M1892 with a rounded grip frame, only issued by the United States Marine Corps during the period from 1905 to 1909. Only a very small number (less than 850) are known to have been issued under military contract. Less than 1000 of these holsters were EVER made! The survival rate of the holsters is very low, and we have only ever seen a few!

This example is of the First pattern made, with the male snap on the top flap. It has the correct brass snaps with the proper iron rivets in the back retaining the belt loop. Condition is good, though it was finished black at some point, probably post manufacture. It still has a clear USMC inside an oval on the top flap. The snap is still functional, though the stitching has unfortunately degraded along the entire side. There were some past attempts made to repair this, but the leather is degraded so the stitching pulled out a bit. Also, the bottom "plug" for under the barrel muzzle is missing.

A great chance to pick up a very rare holster! The perfect match for a rare Model 1905 Marine Corps revolver!
