Original Item: Only One Available. Originating from a recently acquired private collection this is a very nice condition American manufactured Pepperbox percussion pistol utilizing the 1849 patent of William W. Marston. It was manufactured in New York by Sprague & Marston sometime between 1850 and 1859.

The frame is engraved on both sides with floral scrolls and light engraving on the back strap and light engraving on the nipple shield. The grip screws have steel escutcheons. Features fine walnut bag grips. Barrel cluster marked: SPRAGUE & MARSTON / NEW YORK / CAST STEEL / WARRANTED. Bar hammer marked: W. MARSTON / PATENT 1849 / NEW YORK.

Offered in very good functional mechanically sound condition. Cosmetically condition also very good with no pitting, crisp markings and expected minor staining to finish.
