Original Item: One-of-a-kind. In WWI times in the trenches hard, raw materials were short, the soldiers spent most of their time below the surface of the earth. With plenty of time on their hands they created a multitude of different objects and among the most popular were cigarette lighters. Here is a typical piece of "trench art" created by a solider n the USMC complete with a genuine World War One EGA (Eagle, Globe, Anchor) symbol of the Marine Corps.
