Original Item: Only One Available. A fine original 1919A4 display gun! The Browning 1919A4 was the definitive U.S. MG of WWII. The M1919 Browning is a .30 caliber medium machine gun that was widely used during the 20th century. The U.S. and many other countries used it as a light infantry, coaxial, mounted, aircraft, and anti-aircraft machine gun, especially during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Although it began to be superseded by newer designs in the later half of the century (such as by the M60 machine gun), it remained in use in many North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries and elsewhere for much longer. It is very similar in design to the larger .50 in (12.7 mm) M2 Machine Gun, the "Ma Deuce", which is also a Browning-designed weapon and is still in NATO service.

IMA is proud to offer a totally non-firing display machine gun, built with a BATF approved dummy right side plate bearing replicated markings. The original cocking handle has been welded to the side plate inside to complete the look, and the interior has been left open. The top cover opens, and many original markings remain, this is a very appealing display gun, still retaining the phosphate "Parkerized" finish on many components, while the receiver area has been painted gunmetal gray. The rear sight is fully functional, and the barrel has not been deactivated in any way, showing a great shiny bore. The front sight is not present, but can be easily sourced.

This all sits on an all steel new made M2 Tripod with T&E and pintle to complete the display look. Condition overall is excellent, showing very little wear or damage from service.

Unlike others we have had, this example has not had the internal components deactivated and placed inside the receiver, and they are instead included as received. These look to include the bolt, barrel extension, trigger group, and some other small components. The bolt is marked 7.62, and there are feed tray spacers included, so this example was used post war with 7.62 NATO ammunition. We do not know if the components are complete, so please consult the pictures for details.

Along with the internal components is an unissued Barrel in 7.62 NATO, still in the original wrapping, a 100 round cloth belt, 1960s era manual, and a very hard to find flank firing attachment! This screws onto the front of the barrel jacket in place of the muzzle booster, and enables the gun to cycle correctly when blanks are being used.

This is your opportunity to own a nice full display setup of America's most famous WW2 Medium Machine Gun, complete with some great spare parts. Ready to display!
