Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice example of a WWII U.S. Navy Junior Officer "Complete" Cap, also called the "Combination" cap. Naval officers wore a variety of different colored uniforms in service, for different locations and occasions, so a cap was designed that could utilize various removable covers to match the uniform.  The standard colors were White, Khaki, Navy Blue, and Gray. The U.S. Coast Guard also wore the same caps, however they use a different cap badge with a larger eagle and a single anchor instead of two.

This totally correct high quality genuine World War II U.S. Navy junior officer complete visor hat features a wonderful heavy bullion eagle cap badge, patent leather visor and gold bullion chinstrap. Inside on the crown is an original manufacturer's label that reads:

The visor cap features wicker frame construction with a black patent leather covered visor. The sweatband is supple leather and still has the original markings, indicating that it is an AIRFLOW model. It also is marked in the rear under the sweatband indicating a size 7.  There also is a small bit of felt under the sweat band to make it a slightly tighter fit.

The cap shows no major defects but does have wear and some small tears. Overall good condition with overall fading to the canvas crown. This is the type of cap where the top/crown is replaceable, and held in place by the chin strap buttons.
