Description

Original Item: Only One Available Original era manufacture. Wonderful MG-13 steel Magazine Box in its original factory-applied three color camouflage paint. Just recently uncovered from a forgotten area of the IMA warehouse!

This style camouflage was also used on armored vehicles, and was devised in 1927 and applied up to 1937 (and subsequently used on previously painted items during WWII). German tanks were painted in the Buntfarbenanstrich (colorful paint pattern). The pattern used three colors: RAL Nr. 17 Erdgelb-matt (matte earth yellow), RAL Nr. 18 Braun-matt (matte brown), and RAL Nr. 28 Grün-matt (matte green). The colors were sprayed onto the vehicle in the wavy pattern, with a different pattern for each vehicle.

This same pattern was later replicated on helmets by Soldiers based in Normandy, France, giving rise to the desirable "Normandy Pattern" camouflage.

The overall condition is quite nice with some minor paint loss and light surface scratching, but overall quite sound. Original internal dividers are still intact. These painted cans were rather limited in original factory production, and even more so very hard to find as opposed to the much more common green painted cans!

NOTE: Can Only. No Magazines Included.
